Cancellation Policy

Loch, Land & Sea reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time where it believes there to be unsuitable conditions or unmanageable risks.

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy, so if you cancel within 48 hours of your hire or booking it will be non-refundable. 

Privacy 

Personal information collected by Loch, Land & Sea will only be used in the administration of your booking and will not be used for marketing purposes including any third party.

Photographs may be taken during sessions and could be used for marketing purposes but only with consent by all concerned.

Hire Conditions

I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older and must be present during the entire time the equipment is in use. I understand that the paddleboard rental is unsupervised and acknowledge the inherent risks associated with paddleboarding. I assume all responsibility for any risks incurred by myself and my party. Minors (below the age of 18) must be closely supervised at all times.

I acknowledge that I am fully responsible for all equipment and accessories rented for the duration of my rental period. I accept all risks of damage, loss or theft of the equipment and accessories and agree to pay Loch, Land & Sea for any necessary repairs or replacements in the event of such occurrences.

I understand that all rented equipment and accessories must be returned to Loch, Land & Sea on the agreed upon date and time. I acknowledge that late returns may result in additional fees, which I agree to pay in full.

I am aware of the dangers associated with paddling in tidal and moving water and agree to only paddle in sheltered waters. I understand the effects of wind on paddleboarding and will not paddle in offshore winds.

I understand that Loch, Land & Sea is not responsible for weather conditions and that my rental will proceed as planned unless the Loch, Land & Sea cancellation policy applies.

I agree to abide by all local bylaws and emergency directives while using the equipment.

I agree to not use the equipment while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If I appear to be under the influence upon collecting the equipment, it will not be released and the rental fee will be forfeited.

I hereby release, waive, and discharge Loch, Land & Sea and its associates from all liability for any negligence, loss, injury, including death, or damage to property that may occur as a result of my use of the equipment rented from Loch, Land & Sea and its associates.

I also agree to hold Loch, Land & Sea and its associates harmless from any loss, expense, or cost, including legal fees, that may result from my use of the equipment rented from Loch, Land & Sea and its associates.

I have read and fully understand the above conditions, release of liability, and assumption of risk. I freely and voluntarily sign this agreement, which shall bind myself and my party, including our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

Session Conditions

All participants must be of the age stated in the session title. Any participant found to be under the specified age will not be permitted to take part. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18 years of age.

All personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied must be worn correctly throughout the session unless instructed otherwise by a Loch, Land & Sea team member. Failure to wear PPE correctly could result in injury.

All participants agree to follow the instructions of the Loch, Land & Sea coach/guides at all times, to ensure their own safety and the safety of the group. Participants who fail to follow instructions may be asked to leave the session.

In the event of any equipment damage due to misuse, participants agree to pay for any expenses or costs associated with repairs or replacement of the equipment.

Before taking part, participants must disclose any relevant medical conditions or physical injuries that may impact their ability to participate. Loch, Land & Sea cannot be held responsible for any injury sustained as a result of participating in the session.

All participants understand the inherent risks of taking part in outdoor activities and that no safety cover (i.e. safety boat) is provided on session. All Loch, Land & Sea coaches and guides are trained in first aid and SUP rescue.

In the event of unsuitable conditions or unmanageable risks, Loch, Land & Sea reserves the right to cancel the session at short notice. Participants will be notified as soon as possible in such cases.

In the event of an emergency or injury during the session, participants should follow the instructions of the Loch, Land & Sea coach/guide.
